Delivery Policy

Orders placed on encounterbooks.com are fulfilled by Perseus Distribution. The following is Perseus Distribution’s Delivery Policy.

Service Standard

All orders require one to two business days to process before shipping. Business Days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays determined by common and other freight carriers.

Ordering and Shipping Confirmation

Upon successfully submitting your order, you will immediately see a thank you page containing your order number and order details. Please save this for your records. After ordering, you will also receive an email confirmation from www.shopcdsbooks.com containing your order details. We will normally confirm receipt of your order within an hour of ordering. We will also email you when your order has shipped and provide you with your order tracking information where possible.

Shipping Methods

All orders are placed with either USPS (Media Mail) or UPS.

Payment Options

We accept American Express,Discover Card, MasterCard, and VISA credit cards. We do not accept cash, checks, money orders or CODs for orders placed online, telephone, mail, and fax.

Sales Tax and Other Charges

This site supports the collection and remittance of Sales Tax for all US states. The application of sales tax to your order is determined by the rules governing the specific Storefront Client whose product you are purchasing and the state to which the order will be shipped. Please check your sales tax charges at checkout.

Please note: Customers outside the United States shall be responsible for the payment of any import taxes, duties, tariffs or similar charges which may be imposed over and above ordinary shipping charges.

Telephone Orders

We encourage you to order online for the fastest possible service. If you prefer to order by phone, please collect your product codes (ISBN), and have your credit card ready before placing your call. Within the United States please call 1-800-343-4499. We do not accept mail orders.

Credit Rejection

Because we do not charge your credit card until your order is released for shipment, it is possible that the charge may be rejected. In this event, we will send you an email notifying you of this occurrence and cancel the related order lines.
